Job Description for Associate Financial Advisor

Be a part of a growing investment advisory firm that specializes in investment management, tax planning, financial planning, estate planning, and insurance planning for high-net-worth individuals. As a paid Associate Financial Advisor Intern, you will encounter many different aspects of the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) business.

Your Responsibilities – What you will be doing in this role

  • Answering phones
  • Processing incoming paperwork and setting up new client records in our client management systems, which will include scanning, faxing, mailing documents, and setting up new clients for billing and reporting.
  • Entering data for client financial plans
  • Analyzing historical portfolio risk and return characteristics
  • Learning about client relationships, servicing clients, and sales
  • Working with Financial Advisors on special projects
  • Exposure to the responsibilities of Financial Advisors, Associate Advisors, Compliance Officers, and Portfolio Managers
  • Other responsibilities that may come up as the role evolves

Your Experience – What you have been doing

  •  Current undergraduate in a business program, preference for a Finance major in their Senior year
  • Able to work 10-20 hours a week
